Folding table…, full-page engraved plate of scales, engraved plate of music, 14 uncoloured aquatint plates. Tiny brown spot on Northumberland/Durham map otherwise maps in totally fresh clean state. A few pages in volume one with age browning. Contemporary continental calf backed decorative boards, each with contrasting black title labels on spines, slight ebrasion marks on three covers. More recent bookplate of De Champs. A superb set engraved by Aristide Michel Perrot. The maps are in miniature of a very unusual design as each is adorned by a highly decorative border representing the various produce and topographical detail of their respective county, etc. Complete, scarce and in excellent condition.
