Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book, indispensable for students and building professionals, is an accessible and thorough guide to the planning, processes, and components of constructing a home. By the early 20th century, there was a great need for improved housing, but not only in the physical sense. The author emphasizes the impact of a house on its inhabitants and argues that a home should also meet the emotional and social requirements of the family living inside it. To achieve this, the book delves into the concepts of 'functional planning' and 'planning for living'; it offers the reader a framework to adapt basic problem solutions to their individual needs and preferences, ensuring that each home is not just a place to live in but also a reflection of those who reside in it. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
