Ce livre est un témoins curieux de l'histoire et de la continuité de la Bibliothèque Royale de Bruxelles. L'auteur, lui-même, à un moment bibliothécaire de L'Ecole Centrale de Bruxelles ( qui remplaçait l'Université de Louvain ), fait ici une étude sur la Bibliothèque de Bourgogne qui plustard, avec la bibliothèque de Charles Van Hulthum ( premier possesseur de ce livre ) , feront la base de la Bibliothèque Royale. On joint une lettre autographe de De la Serna Santander au citoyen Deterville, 24 ventôse an X. , concernant les illustrations pour son cours d'histoire naturelle. On joint également un règlement manuscrite pour la Bibliothèque de Bourgogne.
