Each poem is written by either Jane, Joseph or John and many are focused on WWI. For example, "The Red Cross Nurse, My sister Jane is wild to be A Red Cross Nurs…e, all dressed in white, And go to France where soldiers fight And nurse the wounded men." The condition is fair. Some of the pages are loose and there are cuts and tears on some but they are free of marks or scribbles and there are no signatures. The hard cover shows a picture of a boy sitting near a pond with his fishing pole and some ducks and there is a scrape on the front and soil on the back. The edges and corners show some wear.
