Contains an account of the author's trip across the plains in the spring of 1850 from South Bend, Indiana, to Weaverville, California." Howes D114 says "Davis also crossed the plains in 1850 and spent two years in California." Light frayed at spine ends, and all corners are rubbed, else a very good, clean, tight copy.
