This book is a historic account of the author's experiments on plasmoids, electrically charged gaseous bubbles which are now the subject of active research in fusion technology. The author injected plasmoids into vacuum tubes, created curved magnetic fields around them, and studied their resulting behavior with great precision. By comparing the resulting flow patterns to those of the magnetic fields, the author was able to verify what scientists had only theorized before: that magnetic fields can guide plasmoids in predictable ways. The book presents the author's data and observations, including the details of the experimental setup and technical difficulties encountered, and derives several important theoretical equations in the area. It will be of interest to academics and researchers in plasma physics and fusion science, as it provides valuable background on the foundational work of the field. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
