A very good copy of this large collection of English sonnets over the centuries In green cloth with gilt titles on spine and front cover Small tear in the cloth at the top of the spine, and a small spot on rear cover, but otherwise the binding is tight and in excellent condition, showing only slight edge wear Ink name of a previous owner, dated January 1895 on ffep, but else no marks or damage to the text at all 320 pp.

Condition: Good. 1890. New edition. 320 pages. No dust jacket. Fully bound blue leather with gilt. Marbled endpapers. Gilt edges to textblock. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding remains firm. A previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate wear with bumped and abraded corners. Spine ends similarly worn and spine itself mildly scuffed. Gilt slightly dulled. Board surfaces lightly scratched and rubbed.
