Inscribed "With best wishes from David Hulse" at top of title page. 225 x 150 mm. 216 pp. An autobiography by David Hulse, born in 1939 in Hanley and brought up on a farm between the north Staffordshire villages of Butterton and Grindon. Hulse was eventually appointed chief development engineer for the Royal Doulton group of companies, and is perhaps best know for his carefully researched models of early steam engines.
