Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Book has stiff card covers and written inside a note dated August 1960 from RV, who was R Vickers, Pole's secretary, who also wrote the Foreword to the book. Pole rose to the rank of Major in 1915, but his notable career after the War, being a lawyer and Labour MP, then thereafter he was Vice-Chairman and Honorary Secretary of the British Commission on Indian and Burma Affairs 1918-39, becoming Chairman of the Commission in 1940. Privately published. very minor edge rubbings and overall a very satisfactory copy. …

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. Association Copy. No date but circa mid to late 1950's. In very good + condition and association copy complete with presentation sticker inside front board. Sent by Miss R Vickers - Pole's secretary and author of the foreword to this autobiography. There is at least one correction (page 47)made by her in this book. Red boards with gilt titling to front and spine, minor edge wear and slight bumping at corners. A nice collectable copy.…
