The quarterly…magazine was started in April of 1982 as a way to distributor the work of artists with the first issue distributed as loose sheets. Starting with this issue spiral bound volumes were released along with an annual box of books each summer. The magazine and organization finally ceased publication in 2003. Each page of this issue of the magazine represents a different artist with many contributions signed and numbered along with a collation stamp on the verso of each. In the course of the seventeen…th century a remote relative of Hopfer, David Funck (1642-1705), book seller and printer in Nurnberg, acquired the numerous plates by Hopfer and republished them in a work titled Operae Hopferianae, adding a number to the plates and thus determining a second state of the plates.[NL] Opstaand ornamentpaneel met een kandelaberstructuur met twee saters die fakkels vasthouden en groteske draken, gevleugelde paarden en dolfijnen. Onderaan gemonogrammeerd: D H.; linksonder genummerd: 7.Dit werk moet worden gerekend tot de verschillende panelen die Hopfer heeft geëtst en die bedoeld waren om wapens te versieren. In de loop van de zeventiende eeuw verwierf een verre verwant van Hopfer, David Funck (1642-1705), boekverkoper en drukker in Nurnberg, de talrijke platen van Hopfer en gaf ze opnieuw uit in een werk getiteld Operae Hopferianae, waarbij hij een nummer aan de platen toevoegde en zo een tweede staat van de platen vaststelde.
