The title song (unfortunately) is not the 1961 do-wop hit by Curtis Lee and the Halos (Phil Spector, producer) -- that was "PRETTY LITTLE Angel Eyes" -- but is instead credited to Earl Brent and Matt Dennis, while most of the rest of the material here (including "The Night We Called It A Day") is credited to Tom Adair & matt Dennis. Produced by Teo Macero, Jacket notes by Mr. Brubeck, who writes that Desmond's composition "'Eleven Four' possesses a feeling of free flight. Paul Desmond's melodic line floats effortlessly over, in and around rhythmic groupings of 5-3-3. . . ." Four of the tracks "are themes from a ballet, 'Maiden In the Tower,' on which I am currently working," including 'Waltz Limp,' danced by the heroine, who has lost her shoe." Reduced from $15.
