Ihrem Vorstand Herrn Wilhelm Cunz, der in vierzigjähriger leitender Tätigkeit das Schriftschaffen und die technische Entwicklung des Hauses entscheidend bestimmte, aus Anlaß der Vollendung seines 70. Lebensjahres in Dankbarkeit gewidmet. Mit zahlreichen Schriftmustern sowie einem Beitrag des Typografen Rudolf Wolf (selbst bekannt u.a. durch die "Memphis") in dem dieser den Bogen zum Duktus der NS-Zeit schlägt: "Wir Deutschen können beides. Wir sind weltoffen, auf dem Gebiete der Kunst Gutenbergs von jeher der Welt verbunden und schaffen Schriften, deren Formensprache überall verstanden wird und als Ausdruck neuen Formgefühls besondere Geltung haben. Zugleich ist uns die Wahrung der Zeichen der eigenen Art und Kulturgemeinschaft eine Sache des Herzens und streben wir nach dem Ziele, dem Kultur- und Lebenswillen des eigenen Volkstums in Schrift und Satz angemessenen Ausdruck zu verleihen" (S.33). Der möglicherweise als "jüdisch" empfundene Vorname des 1927 verstorbenen Firmengründers - David - wurde im vorliegenden Buch nicht ausgeschrieben. Gramm 600.
