Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Reprint. 144pp. HARDCOVER Full red leather with banded spine & gilt lettering. Also marbled endpapers & external edges. The exterior leather of this title is in good condition, and is of very attractive appearance. In between the raised spine bands there are gilt decorative leaves & gilt title. There is an unfortunate ring to the frt., which is about an inch in diameter - so not too big thankfully. Internally, to verso of marbled ffep., there is a small ink stamp saying "Spottiswoode & Co. Ltd., binders." This leads me to think that this volume is actually unique, and has been created a special one-off. Below the binding stamp is a 1935 inscription stating that this book was given as a form prize. There is some foxing to this page, and to other extra endpapers that have been added by the binder. By the time we arrive at the main title page, the interior is pretty much clean again. At the end of the title, once again the extra endpapers have attracted some foxing. The interior remains perfectly clean. A potentially unique & very special example of this title. Size: 8vo - over 73/4" - 93/4" tall. D. L. Mays (illustrator). Book.…
