Contact seller5-star sellerUnbound. Condition: Good. Single sheet, 8 ½ by 11 inches. Printed on a single side only. A letter from staff of the Berkeley Tribe, self-described as "short but heavy." The letter addresses the recent purchase of the Berkeley Barb by Alan Coult from Max Scherr, after negotiations for a sale to Tribe members broke down. The lette…r expresses distaste for Coult, as well as disappointment in the Barb under his ownership, while touting the Berkeley Tribe. The Berkeley Tribe was a radical, counterculture underground newspaper from Berkeley, California, formed after a split with the Berkeley Barb over labor and ownership (see this letter) issues. The Tribe embraced more radical and left wing causes than the Barb. GOOD condition. Fold crease present. Moderate to heavy uneven browning, especially along the right edge. Small piece missing from the lower right corner.
