A fine local history, examining social. civic, recreational and other activities in additioin to mining. 74 pages, well illustrated with 13 b/w photographs and nine figures --- maps, plans, graphs, diagrams. Card covers illustrated with historic b/w photos, few foxing speckles on front, text block stapled and tight. Book is slightly buckled, apparently from damp, unobtrusive watermarks visible few page vertical edges, but not intruding to text or photographs. Photos, Plans, Maps , Graphs (illustrator).
