Chinese character set on first rear flyleaf's verso. This book's binding cloth and thin paper stock differ significantly from original Doubleday & Company copies. Those qualities in conjunction with the circumstance of the brief Chinese text make this undoubtedly a Taiwanese pirate edition which, despite evoking images of surreptitious backroom print shops cutting corners and costs, were often (as is the case with this volume) still sturdy, well-made books with their sale targeted to U.S. servicemen and personnel stationed in southeast Asia.
