Gr.8°. 197 S. mit 6 (3 ganzseitigen) Illustrationen. Illustriertes Oln. Einband etwas bestaubt und mit vereinzelten Stockfleckchen, Stehkante am Eck etwas berieben, oberes Kapital leicht ausgefranst. Name auf Vorsatz, sonst insgesamt aber durchaus noch gutes Exemplar. Zweite Auflage. Bearbeitung der altnordischen Frithjof-Saga. Die Illustrationen, wohl Federzeichnungen, erinnern an Kubin. Der Illustrator (1887-1969) hatte in Berlin ein Atelier und war vornehmlich als Portraitmaler tätig. Nach 1930 illustrierte er auch Bücher und Titelblätter für Zeitschriften. Nach 1945 war er Illustrator für den Ost-Berliner Aufbau-Verlag. Der Autor, Dichter und Ingenieur (1866-1929), wurde besonders durch seine Werke mit Odenwälder und Kurpfälzer Bezügen bekannt.
