DJ is price-clipped, wear & a few closed tears to upper spine & edges, large triangle chip (1x 1 1/2 inch) on upper edge of rear panel. This Spanish poet lived from 1561-1627 ( a contemporary of Shakespeare). This was unfinished at Gongora's death, but is an "erudite and lyrical celebration of the wonders of the natural world". Includes an intro by the translator and an appendix. Side-by-side dual language text.

Luis de Góngora y Argote (1561-1627) was a Spanish Baroque lyric poet and a rival of Quevedo. Boards slightly bowed. No inscriptions.
