First edition hardcover in beige cloth covered boards with the title and author printed on a white panel affixed to the front board. The spine is lightly brushed along its length, with bumped ends; the corners remain fairly sharp. The page block is foxed, with age-toning to the preliminary and end pages. Illustrated with eight full-page b/w plates by Cecil G. Trew, including a frontispiece depicting the Silver Eagle Riding School; contains 216 pages with some soil and foxing on edge of page block. Spine crack starting at last page, all leaves tight and going nowhere. Book has a slight forward lean and is in its original un-clipped dust jacket, showing light wear at the spine head and handling soil at cover fore edges. Three sisters establish a riding school to avoid selling their horses.
