    1948. (Mass market paperback) Very good plus. 102pp. [Printed by the Modern Press, Saskatoon]. 8vo. Staple-bound, issued. Card covers, top cover printed. Tape bound as it most commonly is. Top cover printed. Previous owner's name to cover and title page, else fine. Text in English and Cree, both English-Cree and Cree-English vocabularies. In his introduction, Hives states that he used the grammars of John Horden and J.A. McKay. He acknowledged his debt to Rev. R.B. Horsefield and the Indians of Stanley and Lac la Ronge, and "Finally to Canon Edward Ahenakew for the final revision and correction". Hives was a Church of England missionary in Western Canada, serving variously at Cumberland House, Lac la Ronge, Payton, and Battleford. Evans 189; Peel(3) 7029. Not in Banks.
