Soft cover. Condition: Good. Bil Keane (illustrator). 1st Edition. Somewhere in Australia: Unit 2 of the Base Three Band with Members of the 5th Air Force, August, 1944. World War II ephemera: a program for an obviously elaborately-produced musical revue, "Here We Go Again", performed that August at the "Theatre Royal" - somewhere in Australia. Exact locations of troop concentrations could no be disclosed during the war. Quarto; single-fold (4 pages) printed wraps. Good condition only; substantial creasing to both leaves, as well as several closed tears, and the ubiquitous age-toning to the less-than-expensive paper available at the time. Nonetheless- artfully done (see scans). Two Acts, twenty songs and scenes, including a magic riff by several pfcs. Literally many dozens of credited performers and production personnel. There were to even be cartoons, at intermission, by the man who also illustrated this program.none other than the later-to-become famous Bil Keane, creator of The Family Circus strip, who had already achieved some measure of renown in the military service, right there in Australia, where he met his wife. Two years earlier, this entire production would not have been possible, at this level, in the Pacific theater. Trenchant little piece of history, and a very rare - and early - Keane collectible.
