Biography and correspondence of the Dutch author Joseph Van Der Porten Schwartz, who published under the pseudonym Maarten Maartens. He was a successful novelist and friend of such figures as Quiller-Couch, Edmund Gosse, and Max Beerbohm. Bound in publisher's blue cloth with gilt title to spine.Some small chips to spine ends. Text is clean and bright. Very good condition. 369 pages including index.
