Brossura. Condition: new. Torino, Spazio Velan, 14 novembre - 21 dicembre 2001.Testo Italiano e Inglese.Milano, 2002; br., pp. 48, 47 ill. col., cm 28x21,5. Born in Catania,he studied for some years at Syracuse and then Milan, and has lived in New York since 1988. At the age of ten Cosimo Di Leo Ricatto had already been aware of… his fondness for the arts: it was then that in a certain sense he had decided that he was an artist. Shocked by a book of American New-Dada art leant to him by a professor at the Art Institute of Syracuse, he abandoned Sicily for the Brera Art Academy. In Milan during the initial years of the seventies, he dedicated himself to art and engaged in student activites. The artists that have influenced his work the most are Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray and John Cage. Restless and curious, his work movessimultaneously in several directions; constantly researching new expressive media, convinced that in order to make progress, it isindispensible to overcome the fear of change and transformation that exists in all of us. Continually changing media and subject matter, all his works are permeated with an inextinguishable creative growth. This book presents his most recent and pop production, theSuspended; a series of canvases, cartoon strips, and caption balloons, chromatically very rich, with concisely inscribed phrases. Libro.
