Hardcover. Condition: Fair. 237p; 8p Parker Society report. REBOUND. A hardcover book that has been rebound with a black cloth spine, retaining the original gilt-decorated brown cloth boards and much of the original backstrip. Edges heavily worn; faint library call number near bottom of spine. The pages are brittle with age; the bottom corner of page 145 has chipped off, not affecting the text. Scattered pencil notations, but most pages clean, and binding tight. Very scarce Anglican catechism in Latin with English translation, using the traditional question-and-answer format. Alexander Nowell (d. 1602) was the Dean of St. Paul's Cathedral in London during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
