Remnants of clear tape to endpapers and minor, unobtrusive yellow highlighting here and there. Browning to paper, as is usual for this volume. Light wear to dust-jacket, admitting to a kind of wrinkling appearance, as well as some sunning to spine area and extremities. A previous owner's book label to front free endpaper and his signature to an early page. Ink-stamp to top-edges of pages. Fore-edges of pages admit to some faint wear/mild discoloration. Overall, the entire volumes remains a clean, sound, and still largely attractive copy.

A previous owner's information in ink to first two endpapers of volume 2, along with minor, unobtrusive pencil and pen to just a small number of pages. Mild tanning to paper. Minor creasing to just a few leaves. Price-clipped dust-jackets admit to general light to medium wear, light soiling, along with a number of short tears and small chips. Overall, this remains a nice, clean, sound and attractive copy. This printing is less common than the Herder and Burns editions Size: 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Book.
