Unusual account of the Robin Hoods 42nd Artillery Searchlight Regiment with background to 1939 with details of Company organisation, and then short account of wartime service some in the UK and then "one of the first Searchlight Regiments to be chosen by 21st Army… Group to take part in the second front" arriving D-Day, D plus 96 for defended ports abroad duties. Eventually the unit was redeployed for defence of Antwerp and operated during the heavy V Weapon attacks, later moving to the Scheldt and Xanten then to Hamburg. 8pp., Foreword by Lieut.Col.
