Pp 568, numerous photographs to text, folding map to page 8. Spine slightly faded, mark to front cover, otherwise a good copy. There is another printing of t…his work, at Philadelphia : American Oxford Publishing Co which has 512 pages. This, which appears to be the more unusual printing, has 568 pages and is therefore rather longer. The second half has contributions by Corinna Shatluck, George Washburn, Francis Clark, James Barton, Edwin Bliss, Clara Barton and Grace Kimball and so on (see photographs for examples). The work concludes with 'A Full Account of the War between Turkey and Greece'.
