Friedrich-Leopold Graaf zu Stolberg-Stolberg, (1750-1819) was a German poet and Diplomat most famous for his literary and almost romantic travel book entitled 'Travels Through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Sicily' [London, 1796] written on his honeymoon trip. He converted to catholicism and became famous as an author of the Sturm und Drang persuasion, and wrote a utopian idyllic novel entitled 'The Island,' [1stedn 1788].
