An 19th print from the early 1960s of Pocket Books edition, # 6207, of an early 1940s humorous novel. "The ribald story of a shy millionaire who married a witch." One of the inspirations, along with Bell, Book and Candle, for the TV series Bewitched. GGA cover. Light edge wear to the covers with a small closed tear at the center of the fore edge of the back cover. Tight binding. Mild spine lean. Light browning to the pages. A very good copy.

The cover has red cloth with yellow lettering and an illustration. 21 chapters; b/w illustrations. The front endpaper has an owner's name and a pasted down sheet of reviews of this title. DJ: About a third of the top margin of the back panel is missing; this section also has a large stain. Eight chips elsewhere are 1/8 in. to a linear 1 1/4 in. Eight closed tears are 1/8 in. to 1 in. There is color loss adjacent to several of the chips and tears. Scans e-mailed upon request.

The is a bit of darkening of the paper on the inside of the covers. The boards are red with the lettering and art work in white. The dust jacket is in fair condition with quite a bit of wear and tear and chipping along the edges. The dust jacket is not price clipped and is in new mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Fiction.
