Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. First of this edition ( 'First Published In This Edition In 1954' ). You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They are exceptionally clean. I don't see any soiling. The gilt lettering on the spine is nicely bright. The cover edges are in very good condition, no rubbing. The corners are also in very good shape, the front top one has a speck-sized spot of rub-through. The top page edge has a small amount of tan freckling. The book is square and the spine is straight. The book is solidly bound from cover to cover. The covers are nicely, tightly bound. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I haven't found any instances of soiling. There is a light vertical crease off the outer edge of a handful of early pages, not touching any of the print. I'm not seeing any other creasing, no turned-down corners or placeholder creases. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. I have always had it in a fitted protective cover. I don't see any soiling on the jacket. There is the loss at the top edge of the spine, and a little adjacent on both sides. And there is a small loss on the rear side of the spine off the bottom edge, also small losses at the corners. There is a thin, closed tear on the spine and the spine is toned. The flaps are very clean. The jacket is NOT priced-clipped, not clipped at all. The price is off the bottom edge of the rear flap.
