Hard Back. Condition: Very Good. Near Fine Slip Case. First Printing. 64 Un-numbered Pages. No explanation why there are no page numbers, at least to this edition with the slipcase. Gold endpapers. The Paintings are by Gloria Thomas and the Borders for the Paintings are by James Steele Hinton III. A beautifully packaged collatio…n of apocalyptic passages from the Old and New Testaments, rendered in exquisite calligraphy, and uniquely breathtaking paintings create a spiritual vision of Christ's Second Coming. 25,000 first printings. Everything about the book is beautiful, from the unusual and original style of Ms. Thomas' painting to the elegant calligraphic rendering by Mary Breeden of the actual Biblical text of Revelation. It is encased in a lovely slipcover, which seems most fitting, because after one opens this treasure one needs to feel it is put away in something that will hold it safely kept, that will protect its stunning visions from harm, that will keep its gifted author's heart from careless tresspassers. The painting of St. John on Patmos which appears on page 52 and the watercolor study of the Archangel Gabriel at the Annunication which appears on page 2 belong to Greene A. Settle, Jr., who has graciously given his permission for them to appear in this book. The painting of the Angel on Land and Sea, which appears on page 30 and on the slipcase, belongs to Ann Holt, who has also graciously given her permission for it to appear in this book. The remainder of the paintings hang in the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the authors are grateful to that institution. Breeden, Mary - Calligraphy and Illuminations (illustrator).

Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Near fine condition color illustrated softcover wraps. Includes Preface; Alphabetical Index; List of Fun Songs; List of Folk Songs and List of Frolic Songs (and Dances). "With easy-to-play piano accompaniment and chord symbols for autoharp. For musical activities at summer camps - playgrounds -…elementary classrooms and the home. A choice collection of Unison, Divided-group, Easy two-part songs, Rounds, Dances." - from the title page. "Fun, Folk and Fronlic consist of unision, divided-group and easy two part songs, rounds and dances for recreation. The Fun section includes songs of a nonsense nature. The Folk section brings together fold songs of America and other lands. The Frolic section contains action songs and dances. This collection is designed for those who work with musical activities at summer and day camps, on playgrounds and in the classrooms of elementary and junior high schools. The compilers wish to call your attention to certain aspects of this book. The piano accompaniments are structured in a simple manner for the benefit of those with limited piano facility. It is assumed that the proficient pianist will play a more complete accompaniment than is suggested. The chord symbols found under the scores may serve as a harmonic basis for the pianist as well as for chording on the twelve-bar authharp. Because of the current popularity of the authoharp and its practicable use in recreation situations, the songs have been transposed into keys found on this instrument. Dance directions have been made as explicit as possible both through the use of diagrams and measure by measure descriptions. It is suggested that the dancers first hear the music (sing the song), walk through the movements without the music and then put the dance together with the music. This listen-walk-try method usually eliminates much confusion commonly experienced by beginning folk-dance groups. The compilers present this book to you with sincere wishes for many happy and successful hours of musical activity." - Jeannette Sexton and Stephen Clark, from the Preface.
