First Edition
First edition (not stated). 89 pages. Hardcover: H 27.5cm x L 21.75cm. Title on front board only. Olive boards with front board decorated with vibrant color stamping; some soiling to boards with slight scuffing at spine ends and at tips of board corners. Past owner's eight-line ink inscription on front pastedown; some light stains and soiling to interior pages; tear and chip to pages 51-52; jagged tear to nearly the bottom half of pages 57-58 with affected area now retained by old age-toned tape repair. Pages 3-6 only tenuously attached but with rest of binding still reasonably firm. Only a good copy at best but a scarce U.S. Army register contemporary to Korean War military action. Reviews general history of the division, Camp Atterbury, primary officers, and training on initial leaves inclusive to page 43 thereafter focusing on the 932nd Field Artillery Able' Battery for November 1952 thru February 1953 with individual headshot photos for personnel of the first, second, third, and fourth platoons. A third and fourth platoon roster on page 80 lists soldiers' hometowns with the majority being in the Midwest evidencing some Yankee integration into the historically southern Dixie Division. OCLC does not locate any copies of this publication among any member libraries. The U.S. Army Military History Institute whose collection of American military unit histories and tourbooks is unmatched by any other institution does have a similarly titled 80 page Walsworth Brothers-published register for 1952 with its focus on Company H, 167th Infantry Regiment.
