Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. An elaborate, large, thick, multi-dimensional book (though that word is insufficent). Folio(9.5 x 12.25 x 2.5 in.). Sewn binding. It weighs 6 pounds. This is #514 of a limited edition of 1,000 signed by the artist. In this copy's case, the signing is with a joyous inscription on the number page, not the title page. The author and artist explains her inner spiritual journey over many years and how this project came to be. Here is a summary from the publisher: "Gateways of the Divine' is a visionary and poetic initiation into the realms of light and shadow. This exquisite artist's edition depicts a mythic journey of awakening through 44 Gateway cards; each Gateway is then illuminated by an inspiring collection of poetry and writings from the world's great mystical tradition. Featuring Rumi, Kabir, Tagore, Rilke, as well as the modern poets David Whyte, Pablo Neruda and Octavio Paz, 'Gateways of the Divine' offers timeless wisdom on the path to wholeness." Contents are bound into a stiff enclosure with magnetic flap. This copy has "chip" wear on 4 corners but it is not severe. Contents are clean, all 44 cards, in sleeves, are present. Obviously, an unusual item. Photos attached to the listing bring more explanation than words can, perhaps. Included, in the rear, is a listing of sources and permissions and an index.
