Half Leather, Cloth Sides. Condition: Very Good. Engravings (illustrator). Early Reprint. Ex-library copy, minimally ink marked or stamped. Inked smudge on upper edge of fep, light foxing/aging, else very clean and tight textblock of good quality cotton stock; All edges speckled red; Brown Morocco spine and corners with light rubbing to tips, 4 raised bands, slight scuffing to covers. 784pp., including notes. Originally published in 1848, this copy printed in 1851; Ink notation on title page says: Amos J. Cummings,/House of Representatives,'Washington, D.C./July 2, 1892. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library, Hardcover.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Two volumes bound in one, re-cased in modern times in black textured cloth with gilt titles on spine. The binding is in excellent condition but the pages show a lot of historical wear and tear: staining, toning, foxing, some pages with tears. Title page of second volume repaired with some kind of apparently archival cello-tape. Overall, the text if FAIR ONLY. Complete, but with considerable defects. Volume One: 280 pages, volume two 286 pages.
