The two college teams are not specified upon the ticket stub (as the tickets were printed fall/early winter of 1950 before the competitors were known)…; the two teams were the University of Miami Hurricanes coached by Andy Gustafson versus the Clemson University Tigers coached by Frank Howard. Both teams were undefeated before the Orange Bowl which was played at Miami's Burdine Stadium. The Clemson Tigers won 15-14.
