Boards half bound with brown leather to spine and corners and marbled paper to boards; light wear to spine caps, hinges, and corners; light toning to top leather corners. Text block has has gilt top edge, deckle edges, marbled end papers; original paper wrappers bound in. Illustrated: "Avec 21 bois dessinés et gravés par Clément Serveau" title page; b&w frontispiece, plates, and text illustrations; includes plates on tissue paper of signed woodcuts used for illustrations within the volume.
