An Anthology of recent poetry. in a removable clear cover Bound in tan cloth spine with title and names in gilt on a black lable on the spine and front board With the very scarce blackberry pattern, Large pen gift inscription on the front end paper, 24 full page illustrations by Harry Clarke - 12 in colour including the frontispiece and 12 in black and white , and numerous black and white vignettes after each poem . Harry Clarke (1889-1931 ) was not only a wonderful book illustrator but is also known for his work with his revolutionary stained glass, he was a major figure in the Irish Arts and Crafts movement. The work includes 61 poems by 39 poets including W.B.Yeats, Walter de la Mare, Rupert Brooke, Thomas Hardy and John Masefield, James Stephens, Alice Meynell, and more. This copy is from my late partner Vanessa Parker`s own collection she only collected the very best. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover].
