Contact seller5-star seller16 pages including covers. Staple-bound linen sheets; H 30cm x L 25.25cm. Delightful bright color full-page illustrations throughout with most signed or initialed for artist C.M. Burd (Clara Miller Burd). Front and rear covers share same bold green lettering at top with illustration of Mother Goose with umbrella tucked in left a…rm perched atop a goose flying above treetops with hands holding reins tied to goose's bill. Front cover verso has same illustration but with larger detail as top margin lettering and bottom margin trees are not included. Pages 3-14 feature illustrations with two lines of poetry at bottom margin: page 3 "Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater;" page 4 "Old Mother Hubbard;" page 5 "Old King Cole;" page 6 "Sing a Song of Sixpence;" page 7 "Pease-porridge hot;" page 8 "Pat a cake, pat a cake;" page 9 "There was an old woman who lived in a shoe;" page 10 "Mistress Mary, quite contrary;" page 11 "Mary had a little lamb;" page 12 "Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep;" page 13 "I like little pussy, her coat is so warm;" and page 14 "Bye, Baby Bunting." Page 15 illustration duplicates "Mary had a little lamb" but without the caption. Mild toning and moderate soiling to covers but with strong creases, corners curled as are those of the interior leaves too, short fraying at spine ends, some rust to binding staples. A few spots at margins of interior leaves but overall they remain quite clean and retain vibrant color. Still a very good- copy of an uncommon Mother Goose edition.
