B&W Illustrations; This book is in Good condition and was likely issued without a dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean condition. The spine ends, corners and edges of the book covers have edge wear, rubbing, nicking and some bits of fraying. The front cover has a chromolithographed pastedown illustration of Little Red Riding Hood. The edges of the pictorial pastedown are nicked and there are spots of rubbing , especially toward the edges. The rear cover has wear, spots of noticeable rubbing and ground-in dirt. The text pages are generally clean, though there are spots of foxing and ground-in dirt. The front inner hinge has cracking at the bottom edge (about an inch worth). There is a previous owner's penciled gift notation (dated '78) on the front endpaper. The rear endpaper has some toning / tidemarking to the hinges. Included are the stories: Story of the Five Little Pigs, Silver Locks and the Bears, Jack and the Bean-Stalk, Little Red Riding-Hood, Cinderella, Puss In Boots, Dick Whittington and his Cat, Dream of Pussie Willow, Tony, Camping Out, Dame Spider, Hickory Dickory Dock, Dame Fidget and Her Silver Penny, and, Foolish Bobolink.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1907. Unpaginated. As per the title page, this book is by Joaquin Miller, Katharine M. Iliffe, Clara Doty Bates, 'and other popular juvenile authors,' who are unnamed. The front cover also credits authors Margaret Sydney and A. Alphonso Dayton. Illustrated throughout in black and white. Brown cloth with gilt titles to spine, titles and decoration to front panel in red, green and blue. Cloth rubbed and lightly edgeworn, with tiny points of fraying at corners. Spine square. Binding starting at rear inner hinge, and there is one page in the story 'The Fairy and the Bubble' which has split at the top two-thirds of the gutter; it is still attached to the rest of the textblock at the bottom, though a little delicate. Binding else intact. Gift inscription in pencil to ffep, and a small round sticker depicting a poinsettia; interior else clean, age-toned, free of markings.
