Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Second Edition. Hardback. Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 269. Original publisher's mauve embossed cloth, lettered gilt on spine and on front cover. Turkish harems. Second edition of this translation by Clarence Forestier-Walker, stating for the first time thatthe story is 'absolutely true' and approved by Prince Halim. She had received 'innumerable letters' after the first edition about its veracity. Contents very slight risqu. Excellent looking printed 122 year old jacket. Lotus library; Vol. 4. Very slight browning to endpapers, otherwise about fine in very good, printed dust jacket, with very slight chip at head of spine and faint handling wear. Excellent condition.
