Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Signed and inscribed first edition copy of "Ar seachrán" (meaning Astray or On the Wander) by the Irish author Tomás Ó Cinnéide, published in 1981. This is the original small-run 1981 printing by Cló Dhuibhne with no isbn. This work is an autobiography and memoir written entirely in the Irish language. Unlike standard regional Blasket or West Kerry biographies, it details the author's early life in Gráig (near Ballyferriter) on the Dingle Peninsula and tracks his long years spent living and working outside his native home, including travels through Cork, Dublin, and his time emigrating to San Francisco, USA. It was later translated into English under the title The Wild Rover. Very good condition. Marks, scuffing on cover. Some browning in. Inscribed as Gaeilge (in Irish) and signed by the author in 1985. Refer to photos. Inscription means "With every good wish straight from my heart to my dear friend Pádraig. Tomás Ó Cinnéide. 31st May 1985". Inscribed by Author(s).
