Film credits snipe affixed to the verso, with 6 OCT 1955 rubber-stamp. Carol was sultry and French, with a personal life that rivaled her on-screen adventures. A tragic woman, never far from drugs, gangsters, and suicidal tendencies, but perhaps the most popular mid-century French actress after Bardot. She even fraternized with Ernest Hemingway.
