This book was presented to Captain Richard Douglas by the American Legion National Headquarters for his participation in The Great War; Entered U.S. Army May 8, 1917 and discharged December 24, 1918. This is a signed, sealed document bound into the book from the National Adjutant and the National Commander. Also bound in the book are official papers that register the book as presented to Captain Douglas and that it is a Registered Edition. Both are beautiful color documents. This Volume presents in 21 sections a step-by-step scholarly explanation (from the Allies files) as to How the Great War was provoked to happen from the actions of European powers. A clean very presentable reading copy. Rare to find with the Service Record papers bound in the book.
