Vintage borderless publicity portrait photograph of actor Buster Keaton Jr. in his shirtsleeves, issued to promote the 1928 silent comedy film. Contemporary dealer stamp on the verso. The last film Keaton would make with United Artists before moving to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The film was a commercial and critical failure upon release, but has since been reevaluated as one of Keaton's masterpieces. From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969. 6.25 x 9.5 inches, archivally mounted in a white mat measuring 11 x 14 inches.
