Hard Cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Salesman's dummy (not complete work), with all order sheets following text blank. Boards rubbed, edges and front matter foxed. 1884 Hard Cover. Green cloth cover, titles in relief on gilt background with black stamped decorations, two variant spine designs (one cloth one leather) mounted on front endpaper. Salesman's dummy of a biography of the early career of the successful but largely forgotten politician who served as mayor of Cleveland, governor of New York State, and both the 22nd and 24th President of the United States of America (he remains the only person ever to serve non-consecutive terms).
