A bit of wear at the corners (which are mildly bumped) and the spine. Interior great with sharp corners and not tears. A mildly technical tome with fold out tables, nice engine… diagrams (no named engines). To quote from the preface, "not intended as a complete treatise on the subject. present. the principles governing the salient features of gas-engine construction and operation" But, it includes some energy diagrams, and other good engineering stuff! 97pp. Probably a first edition. Poole was editor of "Power and The Engineer" which was one of the publications including the "American Machinist" and the "Engineering and Mining Journal". IN fact, this book was sold by the Book Department of the Mining and Scientific Press in San Francisco as demonstrated by their small blue sticker inside the front cover.
