"Boston May 10, 1856 My friend Dichenson I send you by express to-day a copy of a book that has just been published in this village. Please accept it as a small token of my regards for you. Of course you will not take as coming from me as the author. You may call me the donor if you please. Yours truly Thmas W. Silloway Doct. Dickenson." Sunned around edges of covers and on spine. Fraying at extremities. Light foxing throughout. Silloway was an architect who build or repaired more than 300 churches or public buildings including the capitol at Montpelier, VT.
