Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Lacking the Jacket. (UK) 2nd printing 1915. Owner's name and date to inside front cover, some toning of end papers, some rubbing of cover edges, slight fading to spine backstrip, a couple of preliminary pages lightly foxed, tiny nick to bottom edge of front cover, Good used copy; no dust jacket, |Blue cloth with gold titles, [xii], 271pp, index, tissue-protected frontis portrait of Princess Mary of Great Britain, and 7 B&W photo plates. Princess Catherine Radziwill ( 1858 - 1941) was a notable Polish aristocrat. Born in Russia into the House of Rzewuski, her maternal family was the illustrious Dashkov-Vorontsov. In 1873 she married the Polish Prince Wilhelm Radziwill. Written in 1915, this is an overview of some ryals eligible for marriage among European royal families and speculation on who in the upcoming royal generation would marry whom. One of the most poignant chapters is the one about the daughters and son of Tsar Nicholas and Tsarina Alexandra, without knowing that in three years time the entire family would be murdered.
