Condition: Fine. Reprint of a catalog for the famed stuffed toy maker based in Shropshire, England, which still produces its teddy bears in England; with a kangaroo and a "Bush Baby" toy advertised. Page XI lists a new toy, "Boomer" the Kangaroo: "Made in art silk of natural colours, with Baby in pouch. Baby is made to take out". With a photograph of the toy in profile. Also advertising the "Bush Baby" modelled on the Australian tree bear. In grey art silk or colours".; with a "Golliwog" on the same page. All toys with size and price chart below. The first line of Merrythought toys was designed by Florence Atwood (chief designer, who was a deaf mute person) in 1930; the first catalog came out the next year. This catalog, for 1932, was Florence Atwood's second catalog; it had expanded to include wild animals, animals on wheels and dressed animals. Oblong 8vo, 32pp, b&w photographic ills throughout. Bright yellow stiff paper wraps, with title in black at front cover. Cover illustration of standing bunny rabbit holding wishbone; with stuffed dog and cat. Bound with black yarn.
