Rilegato. Condition: quasi ottimo. In-8 (188x120 mm.), pp. 302, (2, di indice). Antiporta inciso. Bella legatura coeva in mezza pelle, dorso con fregi in oro e silloge del titolo inciso in oro su tassello in marocchino porpora. Lievi fioriture, soprattutto al frontespizio, ma bell'esemplare. Traduzione italiana, compiuta dall'abate Vincenzo Caselli di una non meglio precisata famosa penna francese (probabilme riferimento a Jacques Gibelin). Sono diversi gli argomenti "alla moda" trattati dal Caselli, intorno all'elettricità, al magnetismo, ai fenomeni atmosferici estremi (trombe d'aria, grandine, pioggia di fango, di zolfo e di sangue), astronomici, fisici (quali l'eco), allo studio dei minerali, alle scomperte e invenzioni del suo tempo (fra le quali, le mongolfiere).
